People blame the Dems for allowing the AIG bonuses in the first place - but what was AIG thinking anyway?
Filed Under Politics | 9 Comments
Why on earth would you give a BONUS of any kind to an executive that caused utter failure for your company and the nation?
I think a swift kick in **** would be more appropriate…
I think taxing back 90% of those bonuses is the best idea the House has come up with so far…
I mean - if we the taxpayers metaphorically own that company now, we get to take back whats ours at will, right?

Obama is losing the battle in the majority of key states across the country to Hillary Clinton?
Filed Under Government | 19 Comments
Do you think it’s the result of the debates? His naive foreign policy statements? She just keeps gaining ground. Is there anything Obama can do to stop the Hillary Clinton freight train?

CA: 49% to 19%
FL: 41% to 18%
Michigan: 32% to 16%
New Jersey: 46% to 20%
Nevada: 33% to 19%
NH: 33% to 24%
In two states, Iowa and SC, she is ahead, but only by the margin of error.

So Obama says he will block AIG bonuses. Can he be a party to a breach of contract suit?
Filed Under Politics | 13 Comments
I guess he didn’t edit any contract law articles at Harvard.
Duchess X - something right for the taxpayer and Obama do not belong in the same sentence, unless is states that he is resigning.

Why are Republicans slamming Geithner for the AIG bonuses when they were set up under Paulson?
Filed Under Politics | 8 Comments
Testimony before congress today:
“The retention payments — ranging from $1,000 to nearly $6.5 million — were not his idea. Liddy himself is not getting a bonus. The deals were cut early last year, long before then-Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson asked Liddy to take over the company.”

Will the Supreme Court overturn the taxes on AIG bonuses because those taxes are unconsitutional?
Filed Under Politics | 7 Comments
. A tax, such is what is being proposed for AIG is called a “Bill of attainder”.
A bill of attainder is an act of legislature declaring a person or group of persons guilty of actions and punishing them without benefit of a trial. Bills of attainder are forbidden by Article I, section 9, clause 3 of the United States Constitution.

Why is everyone upset about the AIG bonuses and not worried about?
Filed Under Politics | 21 Comments
What they did with the money they were given. Why worry about millions of dollars when AIG loaned $62 Billion dollars to foreign countries and only $44 billion to American companies? Is the outrage over the bonus money just a coverup for where your tax dollars were spent?

Are DC politicians in any position to be scolding AIG bonuses, when they are the kings of wasting billions?
Filed Under Politics | 18 Comments
When you think about it, is this not more about people being jealous then actually dollar amounts, the AIG bonuses amount to chicken feed in comparison to the billions and trilion DC liberals have wasted. Thanks for your answers. God bless.

Why are the Democrats pretending to be outraged at the $165 million in AIG bonuses?
Filed Under Politics | 6 Comments
When they’ve known about them for well over a year?
Is this a clever distraction from the important issues or an attempt to look like a white knight to the average, uninformed citizen?
Does anyone realize that Obama pardoned the CEO of AIG while simultaneously ripping his actions?
Feel free to express your opinions on both parties if you like, I am not a member of either.
